Kalochori (formerly named Tovassi or Orta) is located at the foot of Kissavos and is inhabited mainly by Vlachs, originating from the Perivoli of Grevena. In the area of Kalohori, there have been findings from the Neolithic and the Bronze Age.
Notable is the church of Saint Ioannis Prodromos, celebrating on 7 January, and the old Primary School, which was built in 1908 with the donation of the benefactor Andreas Syngros, which has been declared a "preserved monument". An important event for the village is the carnival organized every Clean Monday.
